Last week Elisa mentioned that she really wanted to get out of the city. I suggested that my favourite waterfall is Serra Morena in Serra do Cipó national park. She said that sounded like a great idea, and so yesterday off we went! It's quite the hike (literally) to get there - 2 hour drive from Belo to Serra do Cipó, then a half hour on dirt roads and rickety bridges before arriving at the parking area / restaurant. After that it's only a 10 minute hike, climb up and down a ridge, ford a river, and you're there! The advantage is that there aren't too many people there. The water is fantastically refreshing and clean, and as you can see in the
pictures in Google Photos, it's a beautiful place!
